The Yanagisawa A-900 occupies an important place in the history of Yanagisawa professional alto saxophones.
Developed during a period when Yanagisawa was establishing its reputation as one of the world's leading specialist saxophone makers, the A-900 quickly earned the trust of players who valued precision, excellent intonation, refined craftsmanship, and a clear, responsive sound.
The A-900 was later joined by the A-900U, offering another variation within the 900 series, and was eventually followed by the A-901. Together, these instruments represent an important chapter in the evolution of Yanagisawa's professional alto saxophones. The A-901 would later be succeeded by the modern WO1, continuing the development of Yanagisawa's professional alto line into a new generation.
For players who appreciate the character of earlier Yanagisawa instruments, the A-900 remains an especially interesting choice. It has the precision and consistency for which Yanagisawa is known, while retaining the distinctive personality of an earlier generation.

This is a completely-overhauled-horn and in perfect condition for whatever purpose you want it to. It has very good pads that will serve you for many years. Pads are carefully maintained, seating well and the sax responds easily to low B-flat. The professional 900 is similar to the later 901, and is the predecessor to current WO1 from Yanagisawa. This is obviously a very good choice for students or artists who want to upgrade their horns without spending too much. This budget friendly horn sounds great with perfect intonation and modern keywords. Pads care, keys works, oil up, balance check and all other maintenances are completed by professional contractor, you can use immediately.
